The tire provides great all weather traction. The special all season tire compound and the aggressive staggered tread design boost the dry, wet and winter weather road grip. The durable compound ensures traction throughout the year and it maintains its optimal flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements find firm grip even in ice and snow. The tire is pinned for studs. #15 studs can be added for extra grip in winter weather. The model received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol for its capability of handling severe winter conditions. When driving on-road, the wide grooves and open shoulder design prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint to further increase the wet weather traction.
