The Dunlop All-Season tread compound is engineered to remain more flexible in a wider range of temperatures. From hot summer temps to colder wintertime temps, the tire’s tread remains pliable and continues to provide all-season performance. Dry surface traction is increased through an outer shoulder that is stiffer to enable better grip. This model is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicles. The tire offers excellent summer weather traction. The tread pattern and tire compound grip the road well in dry and wet weather. The tire is not meant to be used in winter conditions, as the compound loses its road gripping ability in colder temperatures. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. This ensures a safer driving experience in all summer weather. The model is a run flat model, which means that it is capable of supporting the vehicle’s weight after the loss of air pressure for a temporary time. In case of air pressure loss, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to a speed of 50 mph, preventing the driver from being stranded on the side of the road.
