Shimano didn’t just design the new Nexave series of spinning reels to look good in hand, engineers built Nexave reels with form and function — and with the same Shimano quality standards — to benefit anglers of all ages during their next fishing adventure. The newly-redesigned Nexave features Shimano’s Propulsion Line Management System, a specially-designed angled spool lip, to provide anglers with longer and more accurate casts by allowing the line to leave the spool in smaller coils with less friction. The Nexave series also features Shimano’s G-Free Body technology to benefit anglers with less fatigue and enhanced casting comfort by shifting the center of gravity closer to the angler’s hand. At the heart of the Sedona FI line of spinning reels is Shimano’s state-of-the-art technology, the HAGANE Gear. The Shimano SLX DC Baitcast Reel is built on the same compact, sturdy, and versatile platform as the popular SLX bait casting reel, with the addition of Shimano’s unique DC Braking technology. Intelligent Digital Control braking system with an easy to use, 4 modes can be set using the external dial for Max Distance, Braided/Mono line, Fluorocarbon line and Skipping for you to place the lure at those hard to reach places. I-DC4 reads various situation changes from casting to arrival of lure at target spot through the reading of the spool’s rotation and makes fine adjustments to the brake accordingly

Shimano engineers overhauled the legendary Tekota to enhance the overall performance and durability of these battle-tested reels with improved gear strength and faster line retrieval. The Tekota A lineup now features CoreProtect for increased corrosion protection and a Cross Carbon Drag for increased stopping power when targeting hard-fighting fish. Built upon a HAGANE Body for increased durability and reeling performance, Tekota A models feature a loud clicker and ergonomic S-Compact Body design for enhanced in-hand comfort. For 2022, Shimano adds to the previously redesigned 500 and 600-size Tekota A reels with an all-new 800 size for increased line capacity and stopping power.
