Accelera X-Grip N OVERVIEW The Accelera X-Grip N is a performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some touring sizes too. The tire enhances the winter weather performance. The asymmetric ribbed pattern and the high-density siping placement and the winter compound boost the winter weather grip on the road surface. The high-density sinusoidal siping placement upgrades the number of biting edges gripping the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The compound, on the other hand, keeps the rubber’s flexibility in freezing temperatures, enhancing the traction in winter conditions. The tread features four wide circumferential grooves preventing hydroplaning by channeling water and slush from the footprint, keeping the surface contact and further enhancing the wet weather grip. The durable construction and the stronger compound work together to boost the tire’s high speed performing ability. The internal structure maintains the ideal tire shape under the high speed driving pressure affecting the model. The compound eases the pressure off the tire and prevents heat build-up along the tread area. The ideal tire shape and the durable high speed performance enable the tire’s high speed safety. In this manner, the tire is able to securely perform at the tire’s best high speed capability. The X-Grip N upgrades the controllability as well. The asymmetric ribbed pattern closely follows the road surface and maintains the tire’s surface contact at all times. In this manner, the tire is able to enhance the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The high-density sinusoidal siping placement manages to shorten the braking distance. These sipes create friction between the tire and the road surface, shortening the braking distance significantly. This enables the driver to improve their control over the vehicle during its high speed winter weather performance. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
