OVERVIEW

The Kumho Ecsta STX is a performance and high performance (depending on the speed rating of the specific tire size), all season tire manufactured for SUVs, crossover vehicles and light trucks.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. Its directional tread pattern and all season tire compound boost the tire’s dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability by enhancing the road contact. The special wide groove, water evacuating tread design expels water and slush from below the tire’s footprint, preventing dangerous hydroplaning situations. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and great all season traction ensure a safer year round driving experience.

The model’s internal structure features the jointless cap construction and high-tensile twin steel belts that are reinforced with two nylon cap plies. The jointless cap construction provides a larger and stable tire footprint. The better footprint improves the tire’s steering responsiveness by improving the road contact ratio. As a result, the tire’s steering becomes quick and precise, which allows the driver to confidently control the tire in all weather conditions. The strengthened twin steel belts boost the high speed durability. As the tire does not deform under the driving pressure affecting it, it is capable of performing to its utmost capability in all weather conditions.

A quiet and enjoyable drive is guaranteed with the tread pattern. The tread design sports a variable pitch tread block sequence which lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle’s cabin. The Ecsta STX’s sidewall design protects the rims. It guards the wheels from accidental curb damage, preventing costly damages.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
