Description
The Michelin X-Ice Snow offers improved braking performance on snow and ice compared to its predecessor, the X-Ice Xi3. It provides up to 2.7 meters shorter braking distance on ice and 4% better snow grip. The tire features two types of full-depth, interlocking 3D sipes—notched and variable thickness—which create additional biting edges for superior traction on snow and ice. This design enhances the tire’s grip and stability in winter conditions. Michelin’s FLEX-ICE 2.0™ compound is a full silica-based rubber mix that maintains flexibility across a wide range of winter temperatures. This compound ensures consistent performance in severe cold climates, contributing to improved traction and durability. Compared to its predecessor, the X-Ice Snow exhibits 7% better resistance to hydroplaning and enhanced slush performance. This improvement provides better control and safety in wet and slushy conditions. The X-Ice Snow lasts up to one additional winter season compared to the average of leading competitors, thanks to its durable construction. Additionally, it features a 9% reduction in rolling resistance, which can lead to better fuel efficiency.
