The Continental ProContact TX (NR1) is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. It has some high performance sizes as well. Those sizes that do not have the ContiSilent foam lessen the road noise with the tread pattern’s center rib, which channels the soundwaves through the footprint.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
