The Pilot Exalto PE2 is designed for drivers of small sporty cars, sedans and coupes that use low profile-sized tires and desire a tight, responsive handling in both wet and dry conditions. Employing Michelin’s Life Maximized Adherence (LMA) tread compound, the Pilot Exalto PE2 delivers predictable handling and sustained levels of grip during the span of the tire’s life. The Pilot Exalto PE2?s LMA tread compound is formed into Michelin’s Variable Contact Patch (VCP) asymmetrical tread design with large independent outer shoulder tread blocks, while the continuous center ribs help lessen road noise while enabling constant road contact to boost straight-line stability. Internally, the Pilot Exalto PE2 showcases twin, high tensile steel belts strengthened with Michelin’s Banded At Zero (BAZ) technology that stabilize the tread area enhancing handling and high-speed capability. Also, a rayon cord body along with dual sidewall reinforcements, the tire is able to resist lateral deflection while generating balance and cornering force.
