The Neo Gen is Nitto’s Ultra High Performance All-Season tire for drivers of high-end sports cars, sporty coupes, and performance sedans seeking a balance of quiet comfort, precise handling, and all-season capability, even in light snow. The Neo Gen’s silica-reinforced compound is molded into an asymmetric, non-directional pattern featuring large outer shoulder blocks designed for increased road contact, improved cornering and dry traction performance. The continuous inner shoulder block design adds stability and tread life by reducing flex. Two wide circumferential grooves work in concert with slanted three-dimensional tread blocks in the center of the pattern to evacuate water for increased wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. Nitto’s 3D Multiwave sipes with interlocking ripples in the inboard shoulder block provide adaptive control by allowing the sipes to lock together when braking in wet and wintery weather. The internal construction of the Neo Gen consists of a two-ply polyester casing for durability and handling capability. Its two steel belts are reinforced by a single nylon cap ply for added support.
