OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Fortera HL (OE) is a touring all season tire manufactured for SUV and light truck vehicles. It is designed and made to be mounted on select vehicles as their original equipment tire model.

The tire has excellent all weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather. The staggered circumferential grooves, the siping design and the see-through grooves work together to improve the directional and side traction in all weather. The staggered circumferential grooves also effectively avoid hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. This makes the tire safer to use year round.

The tread block design enhances the model’s handling by upgrading the driving stability and steering responsiveness. To maintained road contact stabilizes the tire and improves the high speed driving quality. The constant contact between the tire and the road also boosts the steering responsiveness by making it respond faster and with more precision to the driver’s commands. This allows the driver to confidently control the tire in all conditions without problems.

The tread design’s deep sipes and buttressed tread grooves prevent irregular tread wear patterns from forming. This is made possible by the distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking across the tread area which avoid uneven tread wear on the tire. The tire is usable for a longer period of time as the tread lasts longer.

The Fortera HL (OE)’s optimized variable pitch tread pattern, and the intricate blading detail, reduce the road noise heard in the vehicle’s cabin. The variable pitch tread sequence cancels out the road noise generated when the tire is in motion by creating a sound frequency. This makes the driving experience quieter and more comfortable.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
