OVERVIEW

The Nexen Winguard Winspike 3 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some highway terrain, light truck and commercial van sizes as well. It also has some high performance sizes.

The tire guarantees excellent winter traction. The detailed directional tread design, with the wide grooves, siping detail, and wide shoulder blocks, increases the grip in winter conditions, even when performing on ice- and snow-covered surfaces. The tread area is pinned for studs, which further increases winter weather performance. Stronger rubber materials keep the tire pliable, optimizing its performance in freezing temperatures. The wide v-shaped grooves eliminate water and slush from below the footprint and prevent hydroplaning.

The ideal tread design improves the overall controllability and driving stability. This tread design with siping details, wide grooves, and wide shoulder blocks increases the road grip and boosts cornering and maneuvering. On the other hand, this tread pattern is able to keep consistent road contact, which boosts steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the steering becomes faster and more precise to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure.
