OVERVIEW

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde (AO) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles.

This model was created especially for Audi vehicles. The tire had to pass the Audi’s rigorous tests and 50 performance criteria tests to receive the AO marking, becoming an Audi Genuine tire. Audi ensures that both the rim and the tire are coordinated to meet their exacting standards. This tire offers excellent safety, comfort and performance on any road surface.

The tire has superb dry and wet traction, but it is not suited for winter weather conditions. The tire does not have good traction in lower temperatures and it is not safe to use it in those weather conditions. The tire grips the road well in both dry and wet weather, and the wide circumferential grooves channel water from its footprint and help resist dangerous hydroplaning situations in the process.

Pirelli’s EcoImpact Technology provides a fuel-efficient tire. The reduced rolling resistance of the tire means less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The tire is both environmentally friendly and, as the tread lasts longer (also due to the decreased rolling resistance), it is cost effective as well. The longer lasting tread life is also partly due to the asymmetric tread pattern. The driving pressure is equally distributed along the road contact patch. This prevents irregular wear and extends the tire’s life. The longer lasting tread life makes the tire very economical.

This model has great directional stability and cornering ability. Even at higher speeds the tire’s shoulder tread blocks maintain continuous contact with the road, enhancing its directional stability and increasing its grip during cornering. The tire’s reinforced structure strengthens its profile, making it an exceptional touring tire.

The Scorpion Verde (AO) offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The tire tread’s optimized pitch sequence cancels out the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
