OVERVIEW

The GT Radial Champiro UHP A/S is a performance high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. GT Radial offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The special tire compound and directional tread design work together to improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The nanometer silica compound keeps its flexibility in all weather, while the directional V-shaped grooves and the multi-depth siping detail find firm grip on all road surfaces. The wide circumferential grooves and the V-shaped directional groove sipes increase the hydroplaning resistance by dispersing water and slush from beneath the tire’s footprint. This ensures a safer driving experience in all conditions.

The tread design’s special elements increase the model’s controllability. The steering responsiveness, driving stability and cornering ability are enhanced with the tread design’s constant road gripping ability. The center rib’s road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. It secures the tire against the driving pressure affecting it, while also boosting the steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s commands. The larger shoulder tread block design increases the cornering ability and power by offering a higher number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface in such situations. The result is a safer year round high speed performance.

The nanometer silica-based tire compound also manages to offer a fuel efficient drive. It lowers the tire’s overall weight, without sacrificing its wet and cold weather traction, which decreases its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tires that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire’s motion. The lessened rolling resistance reduces the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions greatly and ensures an environmentally friendly and fuel conscious driving experience.

The Champiro UHP A/S provides a quiet drive. The tread design features a variable pitch sequence which manages to lower the road noise created while the tires are in motion. It cancels out the road noise generated during the drive with a sound frequency it creates.
