- Unscrew the top and the lid should come off. Remove the metal inner coffee basket and grated cover. Fill with fresh water up to about 2 cm from top (~1 inch). Replace basket and ensure that the flat metal screen is in the bottom. Fill with espresso coffee. Place metal screen that has a nipple on top, with nipple upwards. Replace top of coffee maker and hand tighten. Make sure that you do not over tighten as it will become tighter from brewing process. Plug machine into electrical outlet. After several minutes, the machine will be hot to touch, and coffee will come out. Once you see the coffee begin to sputter on its way out, unplug machine. The remaining steam will continue to drive the rest of the coffee out. Do not keep machine plugged in until dry as this will cause damage. When cool to the touch, remove parts and clean under water. Make sure that you do not place the pot body in water, but instead, clean with a damp towel. Enjoy!
